The funding has been granted by the research project number BD1-G-5285/001-2018: Seismische Sensoren informieren die Gesellschaft. The project aims to extend the existing network by 20 more stations. It is further planned to rework the software to enable a more effective near real-time data transmission.

The existing network consists of 25 stations. The extension of the network is planned in the districts Baden, Mödling and Bruck an der Leitha.
